We started Marit with a simple belief: every clinician deserves free and transparent salary data. Today, Marit is the fastest-growing salary transparency community in medicine, a place where clinicians can anonymously share their salary and see what their peers are earning - completely free.
Over the past year, hundreds of clinicians have told us that Marit’s community-powered data has given them their first real insight into what fair compensation looks like, but many still struggle to negotiate with employers who rely on legacy benchmarks like MGMA. If you’ve ever been told “You’re already at the 50th percentile of MGMA, so we can’t go any higher” during a contract negotiation, you’re not alone. The reality is that most physicians have never actually seen MGMA data, which leaves many negotiating their livelihoods without the data that drives those decisions.
This is why we’ve taken an unprecedented step. We licensed MGMA’s 2025 data and are making it available for free for a limited time, to all verified clinicians who share their own anonymous salary on Marit.

Starting today, when you share your salary anonymously with the Marit community, you’ll unlock access to both MGMA’s 2025 benchmarks and Marit’s 17,000+ clinician-reported salaries – all in one place.
Together, these datasets provide the most comprehensive view of compensation in medicine, from two complementary angles:
- MGMA shows the benchmarks employers use to structure compensation and negotiate contracts.
- Marit shows what clinicians are actually earning today across different settings, locations, schedules, and experience levels.

Our goal is simple: to make Marit the most complete and trusted source of compensation data in medicine. By providing MGMA data for free, we hope to continue growing the community salary dataset on Marit. Every anonymous salary shared helps improve the accuracy and depth of the available data. If you’re new to Marit, you might be wondering how your data will get used. Clinician privacy remains our highest priority. Your information will always stay anonymous but verified, and we will never sell your data to employers or any other third party.
So if we’re not selling data, how do we financially sustain the platform? We have two revenue streams:
- Jobs platform: Employers pay to promote openings on Marit. We surface the best matches for clinicians exploring new roles and connect interested candidates with employers.
- Trusted partnerships: We partner with trusted services clinicians use during career transitions, such as contract review or disability insurance. These partnerships help sustain Marit while offering our community exclusive access to best-in-class professional services.
