We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a part-time role at our urgent care/walk-in clinic in Milwaukee, WI. The provider will deliver patient care under physician supervision, including history taking, physical exams, diagnostic procedures, and treatment planning, serving a primarily low-income community. The position offers loan repayment assistance through the NHSC programs and is part of a non-profit organization committed to culturally competent, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
• Elicit detailed medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures and develop treatment plans based on patient diagnoses.
• Reach tentative diagnoses and implement appropriate treatment strategies.
• Counsel patients and families on health conditions and disease management.
• Coordinate medical care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Support community health initiatives and patient education efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatments.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Currently licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a family medicine setting.
• Ability to perform physical exams and diagnostic procedures.
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills.
• Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care.
• Vaccination against influenza is mandatory prior to employment.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience serving low-income or underserved populations is preferred.
