An anesthesiology position at a busy hospital with a diverse case load, including obstetrics, general surgery, cardiac, and robotic procedures. The role requires coverage of call and competence in obstetric anesthesia, with opportunities to float to an outpatient surgery center.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for a wide variety of surgical cases, including general, gynecologic, cardiac, ENT, eyes, and craniotomies.
- Manage obstetric anesthesia, including epidurals and C-sections, with a high volume of deliveries annually.
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques and utilize TEE for cardiac cases.
- Cover call duties as required, including potential float to outpatient surgery centers.
- Participate in a high-volume surgical environment with approximately 10,000 cases annually.
- Work with a team of 7 MDs and 11 CRNAs in a facility with 292 licensed beds and multiple operating rooms.
- Handle approximately 100 bypass cases per year, primarily on bypass with 99% on bypass, not off pump.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling, with variable days and hours.
Compensation

Requirements

- Licensed to practice anesthesia in the state.

- Strong clinical skills in general, gynecologic, cardiac, and neuroanesthesia.
- Flexibility to float to outpatient surgery centers if needed.
