The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), including Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), works collaboratively with physicians in the outpatient setting to manage patients with acute and chronic illnesses. The role involves direct patient care, covering infusion services, inpatient consults, and clinic visits within the medical oncology and hematology departments at Grant Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to provide patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform clinical services authorized by supervising physicians, including assessments and treatments.
• Manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, including infusion therapy and inpatient consults.
• Adhere to state laws, professional standards, and the terms of the Supervision Agreement or Standard Care Arrangement.
• Promote quality outcomes and participate in clinical initiatives.
• Work scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8-hour days during daytime shifts.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and learning activities.

Compensation

• Salary compensation model (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday schedule.
• Day shift hours, approximately 8 hours per day.

Requirements

• Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or equivalent for APRNs.
• State of Ohio APRN license or equivalent licensure.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs.
• Current license and certification to practice as an APP in Ohio.
• Experience in oncology and hematology is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and clinical skills.
• Compliance with applicable state laws and institutional policies.
• Willingness to work day shifts, Monday through Friday.
