The Department of Public Health in Western Massachusetts is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide culturally competent medical care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and serve as a team leader in patient meetings.

Compensation

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • Current and valid registration as a professional nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.
  • At least three years of full-time experience as a registered nurse in a recognized healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with physical diagnosis techniques, including medical history taking and physical evaluations.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in medical facilities.
  • Ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with physicians and administrative staff.
  • Experience managing care for patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, and G-tubes (preferred).
  • Commitment to public health and culturally competent care.
