The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), including Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), primarily works in outpatient settings in collaboration with physicians at Riverside Methodist Hospital. The role involves performing invasive procedures, making independent clinical decisions, and practicing within legal and institutional guidelines. The APP must have a supervision or care agreement with a physician and meet state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians in inpatient and outpatient settings, primarily outpatient.
• Perform invasive procedures as authorized and appropriate.
• Make independent clinical decisions within the scope of practice.
• Work under supervision and in consultation with physicians, following established agreements.
• Promote quality outcomes and participate in quality initiatives.
• Practice within applicable state laws, board regulations, and delineated privileges.
• Maintain necessary licensure and certifications, including BLS and state-specific licenses.
• Adhere to hospital policies and standards of care.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

• Variable work days and hours, approximately 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Current Ohio Board of Nursing license for APRN or Ohio Board of Medicine license for Physician Assistant.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
• Ability to perform invasive procedures and make independent clinical decisions.
• Work authorization to practice in Ohio.
• Experience working in hospital-based inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable state laws and regulations governing advanced practice providers.
