Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its Pulmonology team. The role involves providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and managing both acute and chronic pulmonary diseases. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams for patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep apnea, and lung infections.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests including chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests, and sleep studies.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Prescribe medications and non-pharmacological treatments in accordance with regulations.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and ancillary services.

Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's or Doctorate degree.
- License as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience in pulmonology, internal medicine, or related fields.
