HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join a team-based care model. The role involves providing anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties in a 229-bed hospital with a focus on general, orthopedic, neuro/spine, vascular, gynecology, urology, ENT, plastics, and obstetrics cases. The position offers a competitive salary, a $100,000 start date bonus, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits, with no cardiac or trauma cases required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics, neuro/spine, vascular, gynecology, urology, ENT, plastics, and obstetrics.
• Participate in a team-based anesthesia care model with 9 physicians and 13 advanced practice providers.
• Manage anesthesia for approximately 6,900 cases annually in a facility with 10 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy rooms.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations with minimal call requirements.
• Contribute to a department recognized for excellence in neck and back surgery and orthopedic care.
• Support hospital initiatives and quality improvement programs.

Compensation

• $205,000 to $245,000+ annual salary based on experience.
• $100,000 start date bonus with a 3-year note.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
• Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience or training in a broad range of anesthesia cases preferred but not required for new graduates.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
• Flexibility to accommodate variable scheduling and on-call duties.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
