Seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) for a 6-month contract at a hospital with 310 and 103 beds. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia coverage across multiple specialties, supporting a team of six MDs and supervised anesthetists, with shifts including days and nights. The position requires flexibility to float between hospitals and perform a variety of procedures, including cardiac cases during daytime shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of procedures including cardiac, neuro, vascular, ortho, urology, bariatrics, robotics, GI, spinal, OB, and Gyn.
• Support a team of six MDs and supervised anesthetists, with supervision ratios of 4 anesthetists to 1 MD.
• Cover approximately 60 cases per week, with shifts including days and nights.
• Perform all aspects of anesthesia, including special procedures as required.
• Work at two hospital locations, floating as needed to ensure full coverage.
• Manage anesthesia for both day and night shifts, with night shifts typically 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Maintain licensure and credentialing requirements, with credentialing taking approximately 90-120 days.

Compensation

• $1,500 - $1,600 per day
• 1099 tax status
• Overtime pay at 1.5x the regular rate after contracted hours
• Holiday pay at 1.5x the regular rate

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with 8- or 10-hour shifts
• Shifts include 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Night shifts typically 2-3 times per week, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Floating between two hospital locations, approximately 7 minutes apart
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work at least 2 days per week

Requirements

• Current certification as a CRNA or AA.
• Minimum of 1 year of anesthesia experience.
• Ability to perform a wide range of anesthesia procedures across multiple specialties.
• Open to compact licensure; no state license required.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including days and nights.
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac anesthesia preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to obtain credentialing within 90-120 days.
• Willingness to work full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours at overtime rates.
