This outpatient Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) position involves providing primary care, wellness, and acute episodic services to patients aged 2 years and older in a corporate health and wellness setting. The role emphasizes preventive care, treatment of common illnesses, and health screenings, with a focus on patient-centered primary care in a private practice or clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services including treatment of colds, flu, sinus issues, allergies, UTIs, and physicals.
• Manage acute episodic conditions and perform health screenings for employees and their families.
• Document patient encounters accurately using the Athena EMR system.
• Deliver patient education and promote wellness and preventive health measures.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing, CPR certification, and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate in paid training sessions related to clinic protocols and EMR usage.
• See approximately 2-3 patients per hour, providing efficient and quality care.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/MSRN or DNP).
• Current state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
• CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a primary care setting.
• Ability to perform outpatient primary care and acute episodic treatments.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Athena preferred.
• Strong communication and patient management skills.
• No DEA license required for this role.
• Availability for ongoing per diem shifts.
