This is a full-time didactic faculty position at Thomas Jefferson University in Voorhees, New Jersey, involving teaching, curriculum development, student evaluation, and program oversight within the Physician Assistant Program. The role is primarily academic, with optional clinical practice and opportunities for research and service participation. The appointment is for a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and revise the Physician Assistant Program's mission statement and curriculum.
• Select applicants for admission to the Physician Assistant Program.
• Provide instruction and evaluate student performance.
• Offer academic counseling and coordinate remedial instruction as needed.
• Participate in program and college-level service activities.
• Engage in research or scholarship activities; clinical practice is optional.
• Attend university events such as Convocation and Commencement, as well as faculty meetings.
• Interact professionally with students, colleagues, visitors, and other stakeholders.

Compensation

• Salary range: $100,000 to $128,000, based on experience and qualifications.
• Compensation is provided via W-2 salary.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Advanced Practice Nursing, Pharmacology, or Medicine.
• NCCPA certification required for Physician Assistants.
• Current state licensure or licensure eligibility in PA or NJ as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or related advanced practice provider.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in primary care, surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, or emergency medicine.
• College or university teaching experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with computers and educational technology.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary academic environment.
• Willingness to travel between clinical sites and campuses as needed.
