The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to deliver outpatient urological oncology care at the James Outpatient Care facility. The provider will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to manage perioperative, postoperative, wound care, and survivorship services, focusing on preventive health and chronic condition management within a team-based outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinical care to urological oncology patients in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, including perioperative and postoperative care, wound management, and survivorship support.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive strategies.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources and other healthcare providers as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.
• Maintain licensure and certification requirements for advanced practice providers.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the outpatient oncology service.

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday, dayshift hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

Requirements

• Current Ohio APRN or PA-C license with certification eligibility.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or PA program recognized by Ohio or NCCPA.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent for NP; PA-C certification for Physician Assistants.
• One year of urology or surgical experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality outpatient care.
• Successful completion of background check and possible drug screening.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, dayshift schedule.
