Physician Assistant

Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their orthopedic care team. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, assisting in surgeries, managing post-operative care, and collaborating with the healthcare team in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to orthopedic treatment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, compile, and record comprehensive patient medical data
• Serve as the first assistant in surgery, ensuring equipment readiness and maintaining surgical skills through continuous education
• Manage post-operative care, including writing orders, communicating with families, and performing post-op procedures
• Oversee discharge planning, dictating summaries, prescribing medications, and confirming follow-up appointments
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, interpreting diagnostic test results
• Order and conduct diagnostic tests, prescribe treatments, and maintain detailed patient records
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care assessments, planning, and evaluation

Requirements

• Florida licensed as Physician Assistant or APRN
• 2-5 years of professional clinical experience
