The Physician Assistant (PA-C) supports orthopedic surgeons by providing direct patient care, assisting in surgical procedures, and managing preoperative and postoperative care under physician supervision. The role involves performing examinations, diagnostic testing, therapeutic procedures, and patient education within an orthopedic practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides healthcare services to patients under the supervision of an assigned physician.
• Performs comprehensive physical examinations and compiles patient medical data, including health history and examination results.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory tests.
• Consults with physicians regarding patient condition and treatment plans.
• Performs therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, documents progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Instructs and counsels patients on treatment adherence, health maintenance, and related topics.
• Assists in the operating room with designated duties based on training and credentials.

Requirements
