UNC Health is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join its float pool. The role involves providing pediatric care on a per diem basis, with options for short-term or periodic assignments, primarily during daytime hours. The position is based around the Triangle area in North Carolina and offers flexible scheduling with part-time options.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric clinical care in a float pool setting.
• Work on short-term or periodic assignments, typically once every 90 days.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain clinical competency and adhere to practice standards.
• Work onsite at designated locations in the Raleigh area during scheduled days.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines for pediatric care.
• Possibly utilize Epic electronic health record system (knowledge is a plus).

Compensation

• $60 per hour (W-2 employment).

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday daytime shifts.
• Part-time options available (1-2 days per week).
• Onsite work in the Raleigh area.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric clinical experience.
• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider program.
• Ability to work at least once every 90 days.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of Epic EHR system is a plus.
• Current DEA certification (if applicable).
• Demonstrated clinical competency and effective documentation skills.
• Effective leadership and analytical skills.
