UCHealth is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist Assistant to join their collaborative anesthesia team at a Level 1 & 3 Trauma Facility and ambulatory surgery centers. The role involves providing anesthesia services across a diverse case mix, with a schedule of 10- or 12-hour shifts, no overnight call, and a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of anesthesia across a variety of surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, spine, GI, GU, plastics, vascular, general surgery, gynecology, and OB.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and the healthcare team to develop and implement anesthesia care plans.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels accordingly during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care in the electronic medical record (Epic).
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative care.
  • Adhere to all institutional policies, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
  • Provide services with no overnight call and a flexible schedule including swing shifts and weekends.

Compensation

  • $210,000 - $260,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Productivity bonus may be offered.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Anesthesia from an accredited program.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in Colorado.
  • Board certification by the NCCAA.
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges.
  • Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications.
  • Eligibility to bill Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursable services.
  • No sanctions or exclusions from federal programs (HHS/OIG, GSA).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse clinical environment.
