The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join its Adult Anesthesiology Division at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role offers teaching opportunities, participation in specialized teams, and a variety of scheduling options. The position involves medical direction of 1:4 and requires proficiency in advanced anesthetic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthetic care in a Level 1 Trauma Center and other hospital locations.
• Participate in medical direction of anesthesia providers at a 1:4 ratio.
• Join specialty teams such as Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Whipple, and Regional Pain teams.
• Perform advanced procedures including placement of central lines, arterial lines, fiber optic intubation, neuraxial anesthetics, and double lumen endotracheal tube placement.
• Contribute to teaching and training of residents, fellows, and SRNA students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with hospital and departmental protocols.
• Potential to take additional shifts for supplemental income.

Compensation

• Salary plus incentives, including a highly competitive sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) certification.
• Proficiency in placing central lines, arterial lines, fiber optic intubation, neuraxial techniques, and double lumen tubes.
• Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a trauma or academic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
