Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience or interest in neurology to serve as a Neurohospitalist. The role involves providing inpatient neurological care, including consults and acute stroke management, across both hospitals in Manatee County. The position offers a 7-on/7-off schedule in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Neurohospitalist services, including consultative neurology care.
• Manage a wide spectrum of neurological disorders, with an emphasis on acute stroke treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, stroke coordinators, and care managers.
• Deliver comprehensive onsite neurosurgery support as needed.
• Participate in patient care planning and coordination within the hospital setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to neurological care.
• Stay current with advances in neurology and stroke management.

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Requirements

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Florida.
• Previous experience in neurology or as an APP Neurohospitalist is preferred.
