Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria, Oregon, is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join an established, collaborative practice. The role involves providing obstetrics and gynecology care within a supportive environment that emphasizes quality time with patients. The position offers a four-day work week, shared call responsibilities, and a focus on patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting affiliated with Oregon Health & Science University.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to a patient population seeking midwifery services.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Manage antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for obstetric patients.
• Perform routine gynecologic examinations, screenings, and health education.
• Participate in shared call duties for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols and standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts.
• Engage in patient education to promote health and wellness.

Compensation

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Nurse-Midwife through ACNM, AMCB, or ACC.
• Ability to obtain an active license with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• DEA certification.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
• At least two years of clinical practice experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
