The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Cherry Health provides specialized mental health services, including assessments, medication management, treatment planning, and patient education. Responsibilities

  • Implement and document the collaborative agreement with psychiatrists, contributing to treatment strategies.
  • Respond to client crises and emergencies by providing guidance and intervention.
  • Assist in monitoring the physical and mental health of patients to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide health education materials to patients, families, and staff to support informed decision-making.

Compensation

  • Salary model with W-2 tax status.
  • Includes loan repayment assistance through NHSC and Michigan State Loan Repayment Program for eligible roles.
  • Additional income through loan repayment programs.

Benefits

Requirements

  • Licensed and Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • Experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner preferred (2-5 years).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage psychiatric crises and provide emergency interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Cultural competence to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, and working in a stressful environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
