We are seeking a part-time anesthesiologist assistant (AA) to provide anesthesia services in Central Texas, approximately 90 miles from Fort Worth. The role involves working in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) settings, with no call or weekend responsibilities. The position offers competitive pay and malpractice insurance coverage if needed, with flexible scheduling on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia support for bread-and-butter cases, excluding obstetric and cardiovascular procedures.
• Work in both hospital and outpatient surgery center settings, switching between locations as scheduled.
• Operate under medical supervision with a ratio of 1 MD to 4 CRNAs.
• Start as soon as credentialed, with flexible scheduling on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to anesthesia protocols during procedures.
• Coordinate with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain documentation of anesthesia care provided.
• Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities as required.

Requirements

• Certified anesthesiologist assistant (AA) with current credentials.
• Ability to work independently in a hospital and outpatient setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to start promptly upon credentialing.
• Experience with bread-and-butter anesthesia cases.
• Knowledge of anesthesia protocols and patient safety standards.
• Comfort working under medical supervision with a team of CRNAs and MDs.
• Valid medical license and certifications as required.
• Reliable transportation to the work sites.
• Ability to work scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays.
