Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a per diem Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the team at Methodist Children's Hospital in San Antonio, TX. The role involves direct patient care within a full-spectrum congenital heart program, supporting a collaborative, patient-centered environment with 24/7 coverage by a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric CICU patients, including those with complex congenital heart conditions.
  • Collaborate with cardiology, congenital heart surgery, and other subspecialty teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient management strategies.
  • Support post-operative cardiac patients and manage acute clinical issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and clinical notes.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and clinical guidelines for pediatric cardiac care.
  • Assist in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  • Contribute to a team-based approach to ensure high-quality, safe patient outcomes.

Compensation
