Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join the 6-bed Obstetric Emergency Department at Spartanburg Medical Center. This inpatient role involves providing care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery OB ED setting, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, and no weekend or call responsibilities. The position offers collaborative support, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient obstetric emergency care in the Labor & Delivery OB ED setting.
  • Work a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (Tuesday-Thursday, 7 PM - 7 AM).
  • Collaborate with experienced support staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Manage obstetric and women’s health cases within the inpatient setting.
  • Participate in holiday coverage only if scheduled shifts fall on holidays.
  • Ensure patient safety and quality care during high-acuity obstetric emergencies.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • W-2 employment tax status.
  • CME allowance of $3,500 annually.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of advanced practice provider experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (AMCB) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Current licensure and certification in South Carolina or eligible for licensure.
  • Experience with emergency obstetric care preferred.
  • Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a variable schedule.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Professionalism and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
