A CRNA locum tenens position in a short-term acute care hospital setting, requiring proficiency in obstetric and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. The role involves working weekdays with 10-hour shifts, participating in a 1:6 call rotation, and providing anesthesia for various case types including endoscopy, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, OB, and ENT.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of procedures including endoscopy, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, OB, and ENT.
- Perform ultrasound-guided regional blocks such as adductor canal, femoral, popliteal, interscalene, supraclavicular, axillary, TAP, and occasional PECS blocks.
- Manage anesthesia care independently within the practice setting.
- Work scheduled weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 10-hour shifts.
- Participate in a 1:6 call rotation, providing on-call coverage as required.
- Utilize Medaxion EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Maintain proficiency in OB anesthesia and regional anesthesia techniques.
- Coordinate with the hospital team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

- Strong understanding of anesthesia protocols and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability for a minimum commitment of 3-6 months, with at least 1 week per month.
- Comfort with on-call responsibilities on a 1:6 rotation.
- Credentialing readiness within 30-60 days.
