The position involves providing advanced practice nursing or physician assistant services in the Cardiac Care ICU at JSUMC, with a 24/7 coverage model. Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and manage the day-to-day needs of cardiac ICU patients under physician supervision.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, and implement patient care.
• Provide patient-centered care utilizing leadership, clinical practice, consultation, and ethical decision-making competencies.
• Participate in a 24/7 flex coverage model for inpatient cardiac care.
• Perform duties according to accepted medical standards as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Engage in coaching, guiding, and research activities related to patient care.
• Work flexible shifts, including 8- or 12-13-hour schedules, as needed.
• Maintain required licensure and certifications, including ACLS and BLS.

Compensation

• Annual salary of $117,395.20, based on a full-time schedule.
• Compensation is paid via W-2 with pay equity and transparency commitments.

Requirements

• New Jersey PA or APN license.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or MSN with Advanced Practice Nurse credentials.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, including teaching and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience working in a hospital or ICU setting preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 coverage model.
