We are seeking locum Anesthesiology Assistants to provide coverage near Vander, North Carolina, starting immediately and ongoing. The role involves working in a facility with five anesthesia rooms, supervising CRNAs under MD supervision, and handling a variety of cases including general, neuro, gynecology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, ENT, plastics, podiatry, and urology. Credentialing takes approximately 90 days. The position offers competitive hourly pay, housing, transportation allowances, and malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesiology assistance across multiple surgical specialties including general, neuro, gynecology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, ENT, plastics, podiatry, and urology.
- Supervise CRNAs in a 5-room anesthesia suite under MD oversight, with a CRNA to MD ratio of 5:1.
- Manage anesthesia cases using paper charting systems.
- Work scheduled shifts of 8 or 10 hours, with variable hours and no call responsibilities.
- Complete credentialing process within approximately 90 days.
- Maintain documentation and charting in accordance with facility protocols.
- Collaborate with supervising MDs and other healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and quality care.
- Adhere to facility policies regarding anesthesia procedures and documentation.

Requirements
- North Carolina medical license or eligibility preferred.
- Certification as an Anesthesiology Assistant or equivalent qualification.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Availability to start ASAP and commit to ongoing coverage.
- Comfort with paper charting systems.
- Valid driver’s license for transportation allowances (own vehicle required).
- Professional liability insurance coverage, preferably with tail coverage.
- Ability to pass credentialing requirements within 90 days.
