The Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife will provide prenatal and basic gynecologic care to low-risk patients, assist with deliveries, and support departmental educational activities. The role involves collaboration with attendings and residents, documentation in electronic health records, and participation in patient education and labor coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prenatal assessment and care to low-risk individuals.
  • Assist in births of midwife patients and provide labor and delivery coverage during residency didactics and other times as requested.
  • Facilitate workload support for attendings and residents.
  • Coordinate prenatal classes and educational support for patients.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records to document patient care accurately.
  • Participate in departmental activities related to patient care and education.
  • Support basic gynecologic services as needed.
  • Assist in providing adequate prenatal care within the department.

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation, commensurate with education and experience.
  • W-2 tax status.
  • No loan assistance offered.

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Day shift, regular schedule.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife program (degree conferred on or before start date).
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license or Certified Nurse Midwife certification.
  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred (minimum two years).
