The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Think Quick is a clinician working under physician supervision in an urgent care setting. The role involves patient assessment, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, prescribing medications, and patient education to support urgent care services.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' medical, physical, social, and psychological status through history-taking and physical examinations.
• Order and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies as indicated.
• Perform tests such as throat cultures and interpret results to establish diagnoses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in consultation with supervising physicians.
• Order and administer injections and immunizations; prescribe medications per protocols.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and current medical records for all patient encounters.
• Provide patient education on medication use, health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
• Refer patients to appropriate clinic or consulting physicians as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with certification as an APP.
• Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience, preferably in urgent care.
• Knowledge of healthcare management, quality standards, and infection control.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work variable hours.
• Physical ability to stand for 60% or more of an 8-hour shift, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform physical movements such as bending and reaching.
• Sensory skills (vision, hearing, touch) corrected to near normal.
