East Carolina Anesthesia Associates is seeking experienced anesthesiologists to join their team at ECU Health SurgiCenter in Greenville, North Carolina. The role involves providing anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases in a busy outpatient surgery center with a focus on ASA 1-3 patients, including pediatric cases. Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a diverse range of surgical procedures including ortho, general, ENT, podiatry, eyes, pediatrics, and gynecology.
  • Manage anesthesia independently in an ACT setting with autonomy, under supervision of CAAs.
  • Participate in preoperative assessments and develop anesthesia plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Handle higher acuity cases such as lumbar fusions, anterior fusions, and hysterectomies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care and patient records.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling and case fluctuations.

Compensation

  • High starting base salary over $200,000.
  • Compensation model includes salary plus incentives.
  • Sign-on bonus of $100,000, with an additional limited-time offer of $30,000.
  • Relocation assistance of $10,000.
  • Additional income opportunities include an OT rate of $150 per hour, CME allowance of $1,500, and performance bonuses.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
  • Current medical license to practice in North Carolina.
  • Experience with pediatric anesthesia is required.
  • Ability to manage a variety of surgical cases, including higher acuity procedures.
  • Comfort working independently in an ACT setting with CAAs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate schedule variations and case fluctuations.
