Pacific Skin Institute is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join our growing dermatology practice. The role involves comprehensive training, collaborative clinical work, and participation in educational activities. The PA will lead a clinical team, provide patient care, and contribute to the practice's teaching and research efforts within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 4-month training program including on-the-job training, shadowing, and independent learning to become a fully integrated provider.
• Lead and collaborate with a clinical team including medical assistants and scribes to ensure efficient patient care and documentation.
• Provide direct patient care across adult and pediatric dermatology cases, with graduated responsibility during training.
• Participate in medical writing projects such as newsletters, blog posts, research, or case reports.
• Engage in ongoing educational activities including weekly provider meetings, lunch & learn sessions, and grand rounds.
• Assist in supervising rotating PA, NP, medical students, and residents.
• Maintain professionalism and high patient satisfaction while fostering a positive clinical environment.
• Support the teaching and learning culture of the practice and contribute to a collegial team atmosphere.

Compensation

• Salary plus incentives, including productivity bonuses.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with clinic hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
• Typical full clinic days consist of approximately 7 clinical hours plus administrative time.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant License (required).
• DEA Certification (preferred).
• Previous dermatology experience is not required but a willingness to learn is essential.
