The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver bedside critical care in a hospital setting, supporting physicians and working closely with telehealth teams. The role involves managing acutely ill patients in the ICU, performing procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is based in Westchester, NY, and requires night shifts with flexible scheduling options.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for critically ill patients in ICU and other acute care settings, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex conditions.
• Perform procedures such as central line insertions, arterial line placements, endotracheal intubation, and chest tube insertions.
• Initiate and manage life-support interventions including ventilator support, vasopressors, and dialysis.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding clinical status, treatment plans, and prognosis.
• Make real-time clinical decisions based on patient response and diagnostic findings.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Current licensure in New York or New Jersey.
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Acute Care Certification is required.
• Previous experience in critical or acute care settings.
• Proficiency in procedures such as venous access, airway management, and intubation.
• Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 4-6 shifts per month.
