The Physician Assistant at Premier Cardiovascular Institute provides patient care in accordance with Ohio Medical Board regulations, institutional policies, and specialty standards. Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' medical conditions through history taking and physical examinations.
• Interpret medical findings and diagnostic results to inform patient management.
• Provide ongoing patient care within the scope of practice and specialty standards.
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards in clinical practice.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare colleagues to ensure optimal care.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Stay current with continuing education and maintain certification requirements.
• Utilize electronic medical records, preferably EPIC, for documentation and communication.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program (MPAS, MHS, or MMS).
• Current PA certification from the NCCPA and Ohio licensure.
• Valid ACLS certification and current Ohio Prescribing Certificate.
• Minimum of three years of related clinical experience as a PA.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with electronic medical records, preferably EPIC.
• Strong background in surgery is highly advantageous.
• Ability to apply and modify medical principles in clinical practice.
• Knowledge of professional medical practice standards and ability to maintain competence through ongoing education.
