Colorado Springs Radiologists, PC is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our general and interventional radiology team in a hospital-based setting. The role involves performing minor radiology procedures, pre- and post-procedure patient care, and assisting radiologists and hospital staff, with no nights, weekends, or holiday coverage required. The position offers opportunities to develop new procedural skills while maintaining a balanced work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor radiology procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, joint aspirations, abscess drainage, lumbar punctures, and intravenous access.
• Provide pre-procedure consultations, including history and physical assessments.
• Conduct post-procedure evaluations and follow-up care.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Document assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up in patient records.
• Assist radiologists and hospital staff with patient throughput.
• Support the clinical team in a hospital-based radiology practice.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
• Day shift with no nights, weekends, or holidays required.
• Schedule includes 8-hour workdays with no call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current PA or NP certification and valid Colorado license.
• DEA registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiopulmonary and Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Registered Co Fluoro Operation preferred but not required; must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Two years of radiology experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail.
