Adena Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their Urgent Care and Same Day Clinic team. The provider will see acute patients on a walk-in basis across multiple sites, performing procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal. The role involves rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and working in a fast-paced urgent care environment with access to point of care testing, EKG, and x-ray services.

Responsibilities

• See acute patients of all ages on a walk-in basis prior to facility closing times.
• Perform procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
• Facilitate referrals to primary care or specialty providers for issues outside urgent care scope.
• Utilize point of care lab testing, EKG, and x-ray services during all hours of operation.
• Cover two holidays per year with a rotating schedule, with shift trades permitted.
• Work twelve 12-hour shifts per month, including every third weekend.
• Provide care across multiple urgent care sites operating 362 days per year.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Preferred 2-3 years of experience in urgent care, primary care, or emergency room settings, but experience is not required.
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules and shifts.
• Willingness to cover holiday shifts on a rotating basis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with using point of care testing, EKG, and x-ray services.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio.
