Anesthesiologist Assistant needed for locum coverage at a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves inpatient and outpatient care for adult patients across various surgical specialties, with a Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends or call, and a typical shift from 7 am to 5 pm. Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia assistance for inpatient and outpatient procedures, primarily for adult patients.
• Manage cases including orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and occasional pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with the medical team under a 3:1 medical direction model.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient records.
• Maintain a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, with no weekend or on-call duties.
• Work approximately 10-15 patients per day.
• Participate in preoperative assessments and postoperative care as needed.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Requirements

• Certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant.
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice in Indiana.
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient anesthesia procedures.
• Familiarity with orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and pediatric cases is preferred.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Availability to work the specified schedule (Monday-Friday, 7 am to 5 pm).
• Must be able to handle a caseload of 10-15 patients daily.
