Urology Austin is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their urology team in Austin, TX. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care within a collaborative, specialty-focused environment across multiple locations. The provider will perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, develop treatment plans, and provide patient counseling, working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients through physical examinations and medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe and manage medical therapies and perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans based on assessments and evidence-based guidelines.
• Counsel patients and families regarding medical conditions, treatments, and medication management.
• Maintain detailed records of treatment plans and patient outcomes.
• Initiate referrals and consultations when necessary.
• Provide consultation services related to urology or specialty training.

Requirements

• Current licensure in Texas as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Graduate of an accredited Master's-level Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• National board certification as an NP (AANP/ANCC) or PA-C (NCCPA).
• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, including at least one year practicing as an NP or PA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
• Prior experience in urology, internal medicine, or surgical specialties is preferred.
