South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time licensed Physician Assistant to support orthopedic surgeons in both surgical and clinical settings. The role involves assisting in the operating room, managing pre- and post-operative patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive orthopedic care on the Treasure Coast.

Responsibilities

• Work with orthopedic surgeons to provide patient care in the OR and clinic
• Assist in surgical procedures as first assist in the operating room
• Conduct hospital rounds and assist with patient management
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative visits, injections, and patient education
• Manage established patient visits and coordinate care with physical and occupational therapy
• Allocate approximately 70% of time to surgical assistance and 30% to clinical duties
• Participate in on-call coverage on a 1 in 9 schedule
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic surgery experience, spine surgery experience a plus
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current, active NCCPA certification
• Current, active Florida licensure as a PA
