Nurse Practitioner Core (OR) Physician Assistants

The position is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at MinuteClinic in San Antonio, TX, providing primary care services in a team-based environment. The role involves patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counseling, and documentation, with a focus on quality and safety. The contract duration is 7 months with potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients' medical needs in a primary care setting.
• Document all patient care activities within an electronic health record system.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with a clinical care team to improve patient outcomes.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide health counseling.
• Help develop and support patient-centered practice teams.
• Manage clinical and non-clinical tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and insurance requirements.

Compensation

• Hourly pay rate of $77.12 (range $75.00 - $77.00 per hour).
• W-2 employment status.

Shift & Schedule

• Work every other weekend.
• Schedule includes Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 5:30 pm.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in primary care.
• Current and active NP/PA license in the state of Texas, in good standing.
• Current National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Completion of a Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Ability to work every other weekend; schedule includes M-F 8:30 am - 7:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 5:30 pm.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are highly preferred.
• Must have a valid DEA license at the time of offer.
• Must have at least 1 year of primary care experience and be able to demonstrate this on the resume.
• Candidates should have no more than approximately 30 minutes commute to the location.
