The Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care within the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The role involves managing prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care, as well as patient education, clinical research participation, and quality improvement initiatives. The position offers a full-time schedule with variable shifts, including weekends, and is supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care in accordance with scope of practice and established protocols.
• Educate and collaborate with residents, patients, and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Deliver direct clinical care to mothers and infants in various clinical settings.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Engage in clinical research activities related to obstetrics and gynecology.
• Work within standing orders, policies, and procedures specific to certified nurse midwives.
• Contribute to patient education and counseling on obstetric and gynecologic health topics.
• Maintain licensure and certification requirements, including active Florida APRN and CNM credentials.

Requirements

• Florida State licensure as an APRN-CRNA or CNM, with an active and unencumbered license prior to employment.
• Certification as a Nurse Midwife.
• Master’s degree in a related healthcare field (preferred).
• Experience in obstetrics and gynecology clinical care.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including 8-hour outpatient, 12-hour, and 24-hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work weekends on a rotating basis.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of clinical research and quality improvement processes is a plus.
• Compliance with all licensure, certification, and institutional policies.
