The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric and behavioral health care to children and adolescents in an inpatient residential treatment setting. The role involves assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, primarily on-site in Kingstree, SC. The position offers flexible hours, a day shift schedule, and opportunities for relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and initiate mental health care for patients across the treatment continuum.
• Identify mental health issues and prescribe appropriate treatment plans.
• Implement mental health services, including therapeutic regimens and medication management.
• Provide health and behavioral health assessments, including differential diagnoses and prognosis.
• Administer medications, including injectable treatments, and perform intermittent reassessments.
• Offer counseling, psychoeducation, and brief therapy to clients as part of the treatment plan.
• Participate in case reviews, contribute to treatment planning, and support team goals.
• Communicate with external healthcare providers and interpret health results for care planning.

Shift & Schedule

• Part-time, 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday.
• 24 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
• Rotating on-call schedule, with call required.

Requirements

• BSN with MSN or DNP degree.
• Licensure as an APRN, preferably with focus as FNP, PNP, or PMHNP (preferred but not required).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Eligibility to bill Medicaid services.
• Experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health populations.
• Three to five years of clinical experience serving children and adolescents.
• Proficiency in documenting in electronic medical records.
• Active CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Valid fingerprint clearance card and recent tuberculosis test on file.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
