The Department of Tribal Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide clinical and preventive healthcare services within a public/community health setting. The role involves conducting health assessments, diagnosing and treating common conditions, administering vaccinations, and engaging in community outreach to promote health and wellness. The position emphasizes collaboration with healthcare professionals and community organizations to improve public health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat common medical conditions and chronic illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary.
• Administer vaccinations and immunizations to individuals of all ages.
• Provide health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and cancer screenings.
• Develop and implement preventive care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Educate patients and community members on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Participate in community outreach, health workshops, and public health campaigns.

Compensation

• Hourly wage of $68.11 (USD 68.11 per hour).
• W-2 tax status.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant credential from Washington State.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid Washington State Driver's License.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with healthcare teams and community partners.
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and medical documentation standards.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software.
• Ability to prescribe and dispense medications according to protocol.
• Experience with telehealth services is preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
