Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking full-time Hospitalist physicians, including MDs, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants, to provide inpatient care. The role involves managing admissions, coordinating patient care, and responding to emergencies within a hospital-based setting. Responsibilities

• Manage admissions and provide inpatient care for unassigned patients as requested.
• Coordinate all aspects of patient care, including admission, placement, case management, and discharge planning.
• Consult with hospital staff, specialists, and primary care providers to ensure appropriate treatment and follow-up.
• Respond to emergency calls and provide professional services for inpatient, outpatient, and observation patients during scheduled hours.
• Perform timely consultations to the Emergency Department, surgical teams, behavioral health units, and other hospital departments.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with legal, accreditation, and third-party requirements.
• Ensure effective utilization of hospital resources and facilitate communication among care teams.
• Participate in hospital duties during scheduled shifts, including responding to emergencies as needed.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD/DO) or appropriate advanced practice certification (NP/PA).
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in hospital medicine or relevant specialty.
• Ability to work full-time with a flexible schedule, including variable days and hours.
• Experience in inpatient hospital settings preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations and provide professional inpatient services.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical documentation.
• Licensure to practice in Nevada or ability to obtain licensure.
