Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Anesthesiology Assistant (CAA) to provide anesthesia care to cancer patients under physician supervision. The role involves performing anesthesia procedures, monitoring patient responses, supporting vital functions during anesthesia, and participating in post-operative care. The position offers a sign-on bonus and a student stipend, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a leading cancer treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reviews preoperative anesthetic evaluations.
• Collaborates with anesthesiologists to develop and implement anesthetic plans based on evaluations.
• Notifies supervising anesthesiologist of significant changes in patient status or anesthetic course.
• Recognizes and manages abnormal patient responses, including cardiac arrhythmias.
• Initiates emergency resuscitation measures when necessary.
• Orders pre-anesthetic medications and monitors procedures according to ASA guidelines.
• Supports patient life functions during anesthesia, including induction, intubation, and ventilation management.
• Participates in post-anesthesia recovery, including ordering fluids and drugs and completing evaluations.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation with a signing bonus of $75,000.
• Additional income opportunities include CME allowances.
• Compensation is provided through a W-2 tax model.
