UCHealth is seeking a full-time Anesthesiology Assistant to join the team at Parkview Medical Center. The role involves performing pre-anesthetic assessments, developing and implementing anesthesia care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting with emergent care. The position emphasizes collaborative, high-quality patient care within a supportive work environment and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document pre-anesthetic assessments and patient education.
  • Develop and implement anesthesia care plans, including follow-up evaluations.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to abnormal responses.
  • Assist with emergent airway management, administration of emergency fluids and drugs, and life support techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively within a care team under supervision and medical direction.
  • Apply critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management.
  • Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and practice privileges.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range of $211,000 to $257,000, dependent on experience.
  • Relocation support may be provided.
  • Paid malpractice insurance.
  • Generous CME allowance.
  • Eligible for employer matching contributions to 403(b) and voluntary 457(b) retirement plans.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Anesthesia from an accredited program.
  • Board certification by the NCCAA.
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
  • Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications.
  • Eligibility to provide reimbursable services and maintain Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
  • No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA exclusion lists.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
