Shriners Children's Ohio is seeking a full-time Night Shift Acute Care Physician Assistant to join their pediatric burn and reconstructive surgery team. The role involves providing comprehensive acute and post-operative care to pediatric patients with burns, craniofacial conditions, and other complex skin and wound issues, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a specialized hospital-within-a-hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with acute burns, post-operative needs, and craniofacial conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Develop, document, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Manage wound care and post-operative dressings.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary consultations and therapies.
• Order pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Participate in the development and management of the physician assistant program at Shriners Children's Ohio.
• Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift schedule.
• Variable days and hours.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
• NCCPA Board Certification.
• Active Ohio Physician Assistant license.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• DEA certification.
• Advanced practice experience in pediatrics or pediatric ICU preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in acute care or surgical settings is advantageous.
