The Pediatric Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) provides anesthesia care for pediatric patients under 18, working under the supervision of attending anesthesiologists. The role involves administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery in a pediatric surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering anesthesia to pediatric patients under the supervision of attending anesthesiologists.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and bodily functions throughout procedures.
• Adjust anesthesia levels as necessary to maintain patient safety.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, residents, students, and surgical team to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare anesthetic agents and ensure proper equipment setup.
• Respond to intraoperative complications and manage emergencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care and patient responses.
• Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients and support their families.

Compensation

• $200,000 annual salary
• Salary paid via W-2 tax status

Shift & Schedule

• No on-call responsibilities
• Standard daytime hours

Requirements

• Certification as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA).
• Experience in pediatric anesthesia preferred.
• Strong understanding of anesthesia protocols and monitoring equipment.
