Renown Health is seeking a Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of trauma or critical care experience to join our Trauma Department at a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves rotating through various surgical units, including trauma, orthopedic, and general surgery, with responsibilities as First Assist. The position offers a 7-on/7-off block schedule, competitive compensation, and opportunities for teaching and research involvement.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various surgery units including GSU, Orthopedics, and Trauma/Surgery, providing care across the full lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Serve as First Assist in Trauma and ACS Surgery teams during dedicated shifts.
• Participate in trauma and critical care patient management.
• Contribute to teaching residents and medical students from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
• Support clinical research activities through the Research Department, including clinical trials or research projects.

Compensation

• $129,000 – $148,000 yearly
• Competitive compensation including shift pay and quality bonus

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' trauma or critical care experience.
• Proficiency with First Assist Surgery preferred.
• Ability to rotate through multiple surgical units and handle full lifespan patient care.
• Excellent clinical skills in trauma and surgical settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
• Willingness to work a 7-on/7-off day shift schedule.
• Ability to adapt to variable schedule days.
