This is a locum tenens Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife position in a primary care clinic located in Southeast Alaska. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, managing a broad spectrum of conditions, and performing simple procedures. Responsibilities
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 8-10 patients per day across all ages.
- Provide primary and urgent care services, including general gynecology and simple procedures such as suturing and I&D.
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and MAs as part of the healthcare team.
- Embrace and respect the local native community and culture.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and vaccination requirements.
- Participate in patient education and health promotion activities.
- Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no call or weekend duties.
Compensation
- Hourly rate of $102.00 for a 40-hour workweek.
- Paid travel days (1 arrival and 1 departure).

Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Alaska.
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.
- Active Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification.
- Active DEA registration.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in primary and urgent care.
- Experience working with patients of all ages and in general gynecology.
- Proficiency in simple procedures such as suturing and I&D.
- COVID-19 vaccination.
- Cultural sensitivity and willingness to engage with the native community.
