This position involves providing surgical assistance at a surgery center, with a schedule of 8 to 9 hours per day over three days each week. The role includes handling a variety of cases such as general, orthopedic, podiatry, plastics, gynecology, urology, and trauma-related procedures, with trauma experience highly preferred but not mandatory. Credentialing is expected to be completed within approximately two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures across multiple specialties including general, orthopedic, podiatry, plastics, GYN, and urology.
- Support trauma cases when required, with trauma experience preferred.
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with patient positioning and anesthesia as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures and assist with post-operative care.
- Complete credentialing process within approximately two weeks.
Compensation
- Compensation model: Other (1099 independent contractor).
Shift & Schedule
- 8 to 9 hours per day.

Requirements
- Previous experience assisting in surgical procedures, preferably in multiple specialties.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Credentialing readiness within two weeks.
- Flexibility to work variable schedule days and hours.
- Experience with trauma cases is highly preferred.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Licensing and certifications as required by the state and facility.
- Reliable transportation and availability to start within the credentialing timeframe.
