The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide direct healthcare services to employees at a manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY. The role involves conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries and illnesses, supporting wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with occupational health policies and OSHA regulations. The provider will collaborate with HR, safety teams, and external providers to promote workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive employee health assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews.
• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, coordinating appropriate care and follow-up.
• Support workplace health and safety programs.
• Provide emergency care and first aid for on-site incidents.
• Follow occupational health policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Educate employees on wellness topics such as ergonomics, stress management, and chronic disease prevention.
• Monitor and manage return-to-work cases and rehabilitation plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records using EMR systems.

Requirements

• Current or ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in Kentucky (for Nurse Practitioners).
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department setting.
• Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical providers.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Cority), Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience or certification in occupational health or industrial health settings preferred.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation, ADA, OSHA regulations, and medical surveillance procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including occasional evening hours for training or emergencies.
